Today, I’m sharing a couple of fence photos from our trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains a few weeks ago.
This one was near Strasburg, Virginia. Motor Man and I had discovered an alpaca farm just outside of town when we were there several months ago. We stopped on this trip, hoping to see the alpacas again. They weren’t in a good place to get photos this time, so instead, I took a picture of the fence. Bonus: mountains, clouds and foliage.
And further along on our trip, I took this “drive-by”. It has a little of everything: pretty white fence, rolling hills, cows and fall foliage.
Linking up to Friday’s Fences.

Gosh it seems like so long ago when you guys were on your mountain tour! You really got a lot of great photos out of that journey didn’t you…..nice fences on a beautiful day………..

Good Morning! Both pictures are very pretty Dianna! I really like the top photo with the posts. Gorgeous background and clouds. Gotta love a picture with cows and green grass and a pretty white fence.
beautiful as always!
there is something about a long white fence along rolling hills that is so mesmerizing…
hmmm…I took a tour this morning of many blogs looking for you on my reader. Anyway, I unfollowed you then followed you back in hopes you reappear. So it’s good to be back and I’m glad I didn’t miss these lovely photos.
WV sure has some beautiful country and I do miss driving around all the back roads near our cabin…but not in the winter! Remind me to show you some great places to check out next time you go!
Gorgeous views!
both really nice!
Pastoral ? or Bucolic ? You tell me ! 😉
I want land and a white fence like that…..and cows to boot!
I love seeing those very different fences. I had planned to have a white picket fence put around our property and the landscaper told me that white fences draw the eye to them and black fences blend in with any surrounding. I chose a black wrought iron instead and they were right. The eye plays tricks and doesn’t notice the fence is there!
AhhhMazing view! WoW! =)
Lovely scenery!
These are great “fence” shots. Alpacas are so cute, I hope you get to see them sometime. And get lovely pictures to share with us. 🙂
I lived in Virginia for a bit and it was always a pleasure to see such scenes as these. Beautiful captures!
I love your road trip photos … always so pretty and interesting 🙂

Dianna, you take such breath taking pictures. Thank you so much for sharing your God given talents with us.
Drive-by’s are sometimes the best shots! Love your fences.
