Last Sunday, Motor Man and I were on our way to a Christmas Open House at the home of friends. Our trip was mostly along country roads.
When I spotted this, it was one of those: “Ooh, we need to turn around and go back for a picture” moments.
We couldn’t help but wonder just how long they’ve been co-existing.
Linking up to Friday’s Fences.

That is an old fence and a sturdy one for sure. Love that you noticed what could have simply been passed by and have shared it with us. You record such interesting things.
We have an oak that has grown from an acorn in our back yard practically on the fence line. It leans a bit away from the fence. In just 20+ a few years, it has grown taller than our house. My husband and I wonder what to do when it begins pushing the fence. Why it picked that spot and not just a few more feet away to take hold is a mystery.
Oh I love photos like that….getting along indeed. Co-existing in the same space – if only humans could do that as well as mother nature! 😀
Pam
that is one of the most interesting things that I have seen!

Great capture – they seem to get along quite well.
Awesome … just awesome !!
That’s so great! I love finding things like that.
You have such a keen eye, Dianna! Pictures like this one are neat to see and does set the mind to wondering.
that’s so cool! 🙂
It’s amazing that the tree hasn’t knocked the fence down yet.
Great find Dianna for fences!
That really was funny! You weren’t following my blog when I posted this fish on one of our trips out to Kilmarnock (second photo down):
