This began as a Wordless Wednesday post, before I realized I had so much to say about the photos.
These first two are of Motor Man and his mother. She was 18 when he was born. I’m not sure of the date of the first photo, but it was taken during the time that Motor Man’s dad was overseas during World War II. We celebrated Mother’s Day Sunday by having dinner with her and Motor Man’s dad.
The next pictures are, of course, of Marshall and me. The one on the left was taken on my first Mother’s Day; Marshall was not quite a year old. And the photo on the right was taken Sunday.
Just in case anyone needed a reminder of how quickly time passes.

Lovely photos…….I have to say I’m reminded of how quickly time passes whenever I look in the mirror…..!
Happy Wednesday………..

Happy Belated Mother’s Day! Thanks for sharing your pics, and yes, time does pass by too quickly. 🙂
Oh gosh, No! No I didn’t need a reminder but I loved it anyway and the photographs.
Have a lovely day Dianna!

great pictures, and I am glad you added some words… time goes by so fast…
Time really does fly by. And, by the way, you look almost the as you did on your first mothers day.
Wonderful pictures Dianna. I love how in the first pictures the mothers are holding the sons and in the second pictures the sons are “holding on to” and towering the mothers 😉 And the flag Marshall gave you is beautiful!
Lovely Dianna! Very sweet pictures. I love the flag too.. 🙂
Great pictures and a barn charm flag. How neat!
I’m sure it probably seems to M.M.’s mom that it was only yesterday when she was holding Motor Man in her arms…our children always seem to grow up too fast!
Great photos. Oh…how time goes by so quickly that you don’t seem to have time to enjoy the now before it becomes a memory.
indeed it does… motor man’s mom’s eyes haven’t changed a bit. and your handsome son is sweet, too. 🙂
So, so sweet! And I have a love/hate relationship with that ‘time passes quickly’ reminder!
What a lovely flag! It’s perfect. Don’t you love the hats the ladies wore “back in the day?”
Lovely photo’s 🙂 Time sure flies, I can’t believe my son is now 15.. xx00xx

Great pics !
I knew that was the flag for you when I saw the fence and barn 😉
I love the flag too. I have them in our yard. Marshall did a good job picking out a special Mother’s Day gift! Time does fly by our oldest grandson will be 22 next month!!.. Where does the time go!!
Mother’s and sons what a wonderfully warm way to celebrate a Wednesday. Beautiful photos of love, the true treasure of life. 🙂
Beautiful!! There’s something special about mothers and their sons.
Beautiful mothers and sons – yesterday and today!
I agree with Dorann–beautiful mothers and sons! Time does fly too quickly.
