Yesterday, Motor Man and I took a little day trip. I’ll be sharing more about that in the days to come. But, of course, we were on the look-out for barns along the way.
We spotted this one from the main highway, so Motor Man turned around and drove down the side road, hoping we could get a good picture. (Believe it or not, I didn’t notice the flag until I uploaded the pictures to the computer. Appropriate for Memorial Day!)
This was such a pretty setting; definitely worth the u-turn.
Two men were working in the field in the foreground.
I waved as we drove off; they had no idea they were smack dab in the middle of a Barn Charm post.
Linking up to Barn Charm.

Those guys were too busy doing what they “had” to do on a holiday to notice a pretty lady snapping photos of them and their barn while they worked! Nice property though – neat, orderly and a lovely GREEN!

They are famous now and don’t even know it..LOL Have a wonderful day xx00xx

haha, “smack dab in the middle of a barn charm post”!
Still can’t get over your rolling hills. Love the rolls of hay.
Looks like they have their first hay crop off. Love to see a working farm
They are mowing hay around here too! Funny.. 🙂 Wonder if they ever had their pictures taken before pickin’ up bales? Nice you waved Dianna.. 🙂
Another beautiful and tranquil scene! I think that’s why I love scenes from “the country” so much…soothing and reassuring to the spirit, somehow! Perfect! ~ Sheila
I can almost smell the cut hay all the way out here :-)!
love haying season. 🙂
What a picturesque setting. So glad MM made that U-turn for you! 🙂
hehe…how could anyone see that bright flag when photographing a barn. we have the best u-turn guys ever!!
It is a serene setting. How funny you didn’t even see the flag! Yay to MM, he’s a great guy.
That’s how it is out here, I suppose – you never know when you’ll be featured !!
A very nice farmyard ..
The first photo looks like it should be a postcard! Lovely barn and landscape. You had a lovely day for it yesterday..
What you couldn’t capture in the picture was the smell. I know how great that fresh hay smells. We smelled a lot of it in WV this weekend. What beautiful rolls of hay! Wait…your picture was about the barn…sorry.
Love that, ‘smack dab in the middle of a Barn Charm post!’ heheheee
They’re on Barn Charm Candid Camera!!! LoL!
Looks like a very beautiful view they have on that farm =)
Hi Dianna, I had to ask my mom about the yellow blooms, cuz that’s her flowers garden. She said it’s just a green moss, not a flowering moss. She said it gets real lush green when it rains a lot in the spring, but it’s yellow now, because we haven’t had quite as much rain this year. She said she doesn’t know the actual name of it, though, & I have no idea how to look it up… maybe do a search for mosses or green/yellow mosses, that might work. Thanks for commenting =)
