Recently, my friend and fellow blogger (and Virginian), Patti, shared, on her Facebook page, this link in which the 50 states have been “reimagined as food”. I thought it was so interesting and creative, I wanted to share it with my readers.
I must admit that I was a bit disappointed that my home state of Virginia wasn’t given something a bit more….ahem….appetizing.
Why couldn’t our state have been described as something “cute”, like our neighbor, West “Virgingerbread”?:

Other favorites of mine included Louisiana, Indiana and Connecticut.

I loved this these graphics and I had so many favorites. I have to admit that North Carolima did make me laugh but I would have rather had something other than a lima bean represent the state. Kind of like your liver. Which honestly just looks slimy and gross, right? Thanks for the giggles.
Ok, we should have definitely been Virgingerbread – just obvious! I also love Rocky Rhode Island and S’Moregon (see the chocolate love coming through?). Nebraskebab also got a smile! What an imagination to come up with the idea and to carry it through.

Too funny. I agree about the liver though, yuck. Glad my state was pretzelvania. I can live with that one.;-)
I suppose if somebody really likes liver and lives in Virginia, this one would seem perfect .. to them !
At least it looks like the state outline .. they did a really good job with that on all the states…
