Christmas Year Round

I don’t do a lot of decorating for Christmas…just the basics: a slim “pencil” tree in the living room, candles in the windows, a fresh green wreath on the front door, and a few special things placed here and there inside our home.

But, there are three Christmas items that I leave up year-round.

The first is a “beachy” Santa that I bought many years ago at a craft show. He’s in our foyer, and fits so perfectly in that spot, I decided to just let him remain there all year.

A couple of years ago, I discovered this resin Nativity in a catalog and knew that it would be a perfect gift for special friends.  But I thought it was so sweet, I decided to order one for our home too.  It’s only about two inches wide by eleven inches tall. I love how it progresses from the angel at the top to the Holy Family, the Magi and the animals.

And last year, another special friend gave me this sweet Nativity scene that she made with a shell, some sea glass and extra embellishments.  I decided to keep this on our mantel all year.
