Windowpane Wednesday: Country

Motor Man and I don’t really live in the ‘country’. But we don’t live in the city either.

Our home is in a development, but I like to pretend we live in the country. Years ago, I found this little section of picket fence at an antique shop, and placed it at the edge of a flowerbed.

That’s a coreopsis plant…I mean: bunny food.

I snapped this little country scene from our kitchen window.

  1. You know what they say…”you can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl.” I love your little country scene even if the bunny was making a free lunch out of your coreopsis. 😉

  2. Like you, I think of us living in the country as well and certainly compared to Washington DC which is an hour or so away from us, we ARE in the country! We seem to have a bumper crop of bunnies this year but I never seem to have my camera in hand when they visit!

  3. It is a perfect spring vignette! Love sweet old fence, scrappy yellow flowers, and healthy bunny!!

  4. Sweet picture. So kind of you to plant so much for your animal friends! 😃

  5. I like this – it’s growing up all around us, but I can still see nothing but trees when I look out the back window ; )

  6. Perfect. How sweet of you to feed the bunnies! Very picturesque.

Such a sweet photo. I live in the city but country is still in my heart & mind.
