Windowpane Wednesday: Afternoon

Much of yesterday was overcast in our area. Late in the afternoon, I glanced out the window to see this:

I love it when the skies clear late in the day.

Golden hour just brings a brilliance to the marsh grass and the trees in the distance.

The first two pictures were taken from our kitchen window, looking east. This one was taken from the dining room, looking west.

As my mom used to say: “The sun came out in time to set”.

  3. when you mentioned the sky clearing late in the day, I just had a feeling that you’d usethe phrase about the sun coming out in time to set as an ending to this post ; )

  4. I’m happy when the sun shows itself even for a little while, especially on a dreary day.

  5. Beautiful!!

  6. This is the time of year (when it is less snowy than up here in Ohio) that the laight, at a certain hour, hits the brown grass and makes it glow so there is some promise of Spring.
