Poetic Thursday: Questions

Once again, it’s Poetic Thursday here on These Days. This is the photo we were given by Pam and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats,  for this week’s inspiration.

Here’s my poem:

Questions

This old car catches the eye
of everyone who passes by.

To some it’s an eyesore, to others, it’s art.
Is it being driven? Will the engine start?

Was it abandoned because it died?
All those stuffed animals, you just wonder why.

And here’s something else to ponder a while:
does it make you feel sad? Or bring you a smile?

PROGRAMMING NOTE:  I’m taking a little blogging break next week. Will possibly have a post for Poetic Thursday.

  1. It sure made my eyebrows go up and wonder if I’d be dodging flying debris if I happened to be driving behind it. Love your treatment of the interesting subject.

  2. Good job! It’s a wacky photo and I figured we’d all have some fun with it – looks like I was right….LOL Enjoy your blogging break!

  4. All sorts of questions .. This reminds me of a car I’ve seen around town a few times – It looks like a boat and it’s covered in … stuff … If you see it, you know it !
