Wildfires, sparked by lightning strikes, have been burning not far from us. Some days, the wind blows the smoke in our direction. Not such a pretty sky, but you can definitely see the smoke in the air.

The meteorologists predicted that the smoke would bring about some interesting sunrises and sunsets. That was the case on Thursday morning.

I always look forward to your blogs. Unfortunately, I’m usually up and around long before they’re posted so I have to wait impatiently for them..love the sunrises/sunsets!
My coffee this morning came out weak, but these sunrises certainly live up.

Oh you can see the smoke! We went to Virginia Beach a few years ago when the dismal swamp was on fire – I couldn’t believe how smoky it was!

The smoke adds some nice texture on that one picture. Lovely as always!
A couple of other comments here are sort of going the same way I am: it’s so cool that EACH one is different – you’ll never see another like it!

Beautiful pictures. I am a night owl, so rarely see the sunrise. Tonight the moon is keeping me awake!
Such gorgeous photos….I’ve often wished we lived by the water somewhere – it’s so relaxing and peaceful; even if there’s a storm, it’s still beautiful and quite magical isn’t it. Sunrises and sunsets are my favorite time of day.

I seem to have adapted myself more to my husband’s schedule and don’t get up as early as I used to. I’m glad that at least I’m able to enjoy the sunrises that you experience. Thanks for sharing!
