Sunset Sunday – OBX

It’s amazing how two days on the Outer Banks of North Carolina could supply me with so much blog material!

Saturday evening, Motor Man and I were running an errand in the northernmost part of the Outer Banks, which meant we were driving toward the sunset. Believe it or not, the sunset hadn’t even crossed my mind til then.

But Motor Man soon realized that we he needed to quickly find a good spot for some photos.

Okay….this isn’t bad… but can we do better?

Maybe?

Almost….

Now…this is what I had in mind.

The body of water is the Currituck Sound. To the far right is the Wright Memorial Bridge, which connects the Outer Banks (Dare County) to the mainland of eastern North Carolina.

And this concludes my posts about last weekend’s trip.     Maybe…

  4. Ahhh… serenity captured. If I was a painter, I’d try to capture that moment on canvas. Thanks so much for sharing your trip!

  5. It’s beautiful Dianna! What you had in mind is just perfect! I enjoyed your trip~loved the horses 🙂

  6. Curtain down. Applause. Aww…again, it’s hard to say good-bye.

  7. Since your OBX blogs are the only way I see the Outer Banks these days, there can never be too many. As I’ve said before, you and Motor Man are the prfect couple!

  8. Thank you for the tour 🙂 MJ

  9. I agree with June…..not only are your Outer Banks’s pictures beautiful, but you and JR. are such a good and perfect couple. Made for each other!!!!!!!………….(you do not realize) ,but your face lights up each and every time you speak of him. I am not a connoisseur of marriages, as I have only been married a short time myself…….56 years!!!!!

  10. These are lovely – I do love the second one with that grass silhouetted against the sun set…you know I’m a bit obsessed with the silhouettes! The last one gives that sense you get at the edge of the ocean…of the vast sea/sky…of the grandeur of it all. Just perfect!

  11. They are all worth framing!

  17. The sunsets are hunting you down, Dianna. I guess that even they know you are the wright – (pun intended) lady to see.

  18. I think that I like the 2nd photo best, with all of the branches highlighting the bright sunset colors. All are lovely, though. I don’t live in a good place for sunsets and sunrises, so I’ll continue to live through yours.

  19. You have sticktoitiveness…and it pays off every time.

  20. That was a beautiful sunset. Don’t you love it when an outing provides so much material to blog?
