Sunrise Saturday

The sunrise from Tuesday, June 5:

The day before, the weather forecasters predicted that Tuesday would be a sunny day.

Say, Mr.  Meteorologist, you may want to have another look at your super-duper doppler radar thingy.

There were times during the morning when it appeared the sun would win out over the rain clouds.

But, well before 9 a.m., it was becoming increasingly clear…well, increasingly cloudy

It was becoming obvious that the rain was headed our way.

Follow-up!  The winner of the “Saving Cee Cee Honeycutt” book giveaway is my friend, Darcie, at My Modern Country.  Congrats, Darcie (please send me an e-mail with your mailing address). I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did!

  1. Rain or shine or even something “in-between” you still have a gorgeous view of every sunrise and sunset! Congratulations to Darcie – it’s a FABULOUS book.

  2. What a beautiful series of photos! Whatever the day turned out to be, it was certainly good for a dramatic sky!

  3. The weatherman would have done better Tues. just to look out the window rather than at his super-dooper, non-reliable radar! That rain set in for the entire day!

  4. Love that you caught those rays fighting through…and that you caught the “battle” between the sun and the clouds. I watched that battle yesterday around “my” pond!

  5. The weathermen in the city never know what’s actually going on in our neck of the woods! Love the pics 🙂

AND, I am super excited to be the winner of your giveaway!! Yay for me!!
    Thanks Dianna 🙂

  6. Thanks for all the sunrise pictures. Something I only dream of!

  7. still makes for striking photos!

  8. I love seeing the water that I often miss….beautiful!

  9. Very difficult to pick a favorite here, too, but I’d have to go with #5 … love the ‘layers’ !! #4 would be a runner-up 😉

  10. Not sure why I like ‘stormy’ photos, but I really do! And these did not disappoint. 🙂

  11. Congrats, Darcie!

I love all he pictures but the 3th is the best for me. Love the rays of sun light.

  13. Ooh – love the bank of clouds.

  14. Magnificent clouds! Every bit as stunning as your sunset/sunrise photos…maybe even more dramatic. Or maybe you’re just a talented photographer! ~ Sheila
