You may recall seeing this photo here before.
This is our 1932 Ford Victoria, a.k.a. Vicky. Vicky played a part in the wedding that was at our house last weekend. She has a special parking spot in the back section of our shop, but as of yesterday, she was still at the front of the building.
Our family doctor when I was growing up was from Ireland . Now 83 years old, he’s long retired, but we see him around town occasionally.
Yesterday, he stopped by our shop to ask Motor Man a question about a car battery.
He saw Vicky and began asking all sorts of questions about her. As he was walking out the door to leave, Motor Man asked me to drive Vicky around the building back to “her spot”, while he opened the roll-up door. I asked Dr. L. if he would like a ride.
…When I was 10 years old, if someone had told me that, one day, I would be driving Dr. L. around in a 1932 Ford…..
these days of mine 
Vicky is some ride! No doubt Dr. L. enjoyed that short trip round the shop as much as you did.

Oh, I love this!! It seems like only yesterday I was taking my children to see Dr. L. I guess in my mind, he’ll always be a relatively young dr. since he’s older than I am. Glad you could give him a ride to remember!

Bet Dr. L. wouldn’t have imagined it either. Sounds like he might enjoy coming by Saturday breakfast on Main Street one day. Life is full of good surprises. This is another one to treasure!

How come I’ve never had a ride in Vicky? She sure is a pretty lady, and I enjoy when she’s around. I think I have a couple of pictures. That and the Golf cart!!
I had forgotten about Vicky.We never know what will come our way in life.
What a joy that must have been for you and Dr. L. He was my doctor also when I lived in Smithfield. We had a special bond because he stuttered also. I do not know if everyone knew that because he was able to control it must of the time as I am able to do (glory to God) today. I truly loved that man. Wonderful story Dianna.
Thinking of Dr. L always makes me smile – such a wonderful person. Thinking of you giving him a remembrance ride made me smile even broader. So precious.
