Random Five Friday

Where does the time go? It’s already time again for Random Five Friday.

1.) Motor Man and I have plans to meet yet another blogger and her husband this weekend. Details next week!

2.) Sundae loves it when we cover her with her “throw”. She seems to be completely at ease under there. She’s always been afraid of the vacuum, but yesterday, I tried something new: I placed her throw over her before I vacuumed. And she never moved…even when I vacuumed under the bed. Brave girl!

3.) I’m still trying to adjust to daylight savings time. Loving the sunrises, even if I do wish they happened a little earlier in the morning.

4.) Hopefully, once our weather decides that winter is over, I’ll be motivated to start my morning walks again. In years past, I’ve kept up my routine all winter, but this year, I’ve been lazy.

5.) I’m feeling the need for some retail therapy…. soon.

  1. Retail therapy! Sounds good!! Think I will jump in Casper, turn the radeeohhhhhhh up and go to St. Lou today.. 🙂 Great idea to get Sundae Girl through the stresses in life. I think I will just throw my blankie over my head! I kept walking up all year in the past too but this year – nope! Good Morning Dianna! I am not going to make it for R5F, this week was too crazy to pull a post together!

  2. I hear you about the excuses to keep from walking … too hot, too cold, too sunny, too windy, too early, too late. Sigh. Looks like we’re running out of them pretty quickly!

    ;-}

  3. The Sundae “lump” is adorable and I love your idea for retail therapy! 😉

  4. I love no. 2 about Sundae! Bo likes to play with the blanket on the sofa. He’ll squirrel under it, and then a couple of minutes later we’ll hear a “thunk” because he’s fallen off the sofa and tangled in the blanket! Ellie

  5. Retail Therapy! I think I have a new name for a favorite pasttime – I’ll have to try that one on my hubby! Thanks for the smile. And I need te walking motivation too!

  6. Retail therapy always works for me. Especially those things I don’t really need. Be glad when I can wake up to sunshine instead of o’dark thirty!

  7. Brilliant idea to put the blanket over Sundae while you vacuumed. Rick and I used to go walking, but have been just too busy. We have packed 35 boxes and there’s twice more to go. I need a blanket over my head and a walk in the park to clear this head. What fun to mark your calendar with still another blogger reunion adventure. I look forward to reading about it.

Such a nifty trick with the throw! I find my cat Oscar has a similar reaction when I cover him with a throw. Not sure if it would work though if I was vacuuming around him – the cheeky little devil loves attacking the vacuum cleaner far too much, I’m not sure he would be able to resist the temptation!

  9. The Sundae lump = ha ha ha!! So cute 🙂

Happy Friday to you! You’re on a roll with blogger meetings – can’t wait to hear all about it.

  10. Will have to try the throw trick with Callie — she too is afraid of the vacuum. Those sunrises are still beautiful even if they do arrive a little later. Oh, I suggest combining your walk with your retail therapy, two birds with one stone! 😉

  11. The throw trick is great – like Sam’s “tent”……it’s cozy, private, and they feel safe in there. Whatever works! Love the other photos – I remember that one with you on your COLD morning walk. Spring is here though (so they say) so walking weather is BACK!

  12. Sunrise…earlier????

  13. Oh have fun meeting blogger friends it is exciting I have only met one blogger in the time I have been here. I am sure you are going to have a lot to share. B

  14. It’s still to cold for morning walks. I suggest you take Sundae’s cue and snuggle up with her under her blanket and stay there until last frost. 🙂

  15. I love that you’re meeting another blogger in person, Dianna! That must be such fun. I too wish the sunrise was earlier…I hate walking to my office in the dark.
    Beautiful sunrise photo! Happy Weekend!

  16. That blanket is Sundae’s armor !
And you have your armor on in that walking pic from ’10 !!

  17. always love your sky views. happy weekend!

  18. Sundae just needed his security blanket, good ideal. Enjoy your visit this weekend.

  19. I’m loving the longer light in the evenings but it is sooooo dark in the morning, and I’m a morning gal. And, like you, I need some warmer days, to get back to regular exercise!

  20. The darker mornings are helping with sleeping in a little longer, but I do love it being light longer at night.

  21. I wonder if Sundae has a little Siamese in her… that breed likes to burrow. 🙂

  22. I miss the sun in the mornings driving to work but am enjoying the light longer in the evenings.

  23. Fun that you’re meeting another blogger! Look forward to hearing about it!

Living in a small town in Alaska, I do a lot of shopping on line. Other than the grocery and hardware stores, Ketchikan has a few specialty shops, touristy stores that cater to the summer cruise ship passengers, and Walmart…not much variety! But even though I can find most things online, if not locally, I still enjoy going to a beautiful shopping mall once in a while. Sometimes you just need that retail aroma! And I need to do a bit of browsing, which is harder to do on a website! ~ Sheila

  24. Retail is always good… even when it’s not needed therapy…. it’s just plain GOOD! LOL

  25. Sorry to be late commenting…busy weekend. Wow she stayed under the shawl while you vacuumed that is something. I don’t think that would even help any of our cats as they all hate the vacuum.
Hope you had a nice time meeting up with your friends and your sunrise shot was lovely.

  26. Ah, Sandae, you are so cute!

  27. Sundae’s adorable, even when we can’t see her. Retail Therapy sounds good to me, too!
