The first (Random Five) Friday of April!
1.) “Sunshine On My Shoulder” was my first thought when I spotted Sundae on her window seat early Wednesday morning.
2.) Yesterday, I “babysat” my friend’s great-niece, who will be five next month. We had a fun afternoon, alternating playing inside with stickers and outside with bubbles. She told me a couple of times that I was a great baby-sitter. And just before her mom came to pick her up, she said to me: “We’ve had a fun afternoon.”. Nothing like a compliment from a child to warm your heart.
3.) I missed Tuesday’s sunset by seconds.
4.) Racing begins this weekend at our local short track; time to start those engines…
5.) Sunday afternoon, we’ll be gathering with Motor Man’s family for Easter. I’m bringing deviled eggs; perhaps I’ll try the pastel colors again like I did a couple of years ago.
Wishing you all a special Easter weekend.

Getting approval from a five year old for ANYTHING can be a challenge but glad you passed the “babysitting test” ! Those deviled eggs look grand – and SO colorful – I’m sure they’ll be a big hit on Sunday.

Oh, I don’t think you missed Tuesday’s sunset at all, Dianna…it’s perfect! Have a wonderful Easter.
PS. I love the header photo!
Always a treat to have a picture of Sundae! I agree with Jill.. very pretty sunset. Those deviled eggs are very festive! Happy Easter to you and your Family Dianna!
Always good to get a vote of approval especially from a child! The after-sunset picture is lovely so the sunset must have been spectacular! Darling Sundae!
“Out of the mouths of Babes”, precious, honest thoughts from your young charge. Love the eggs – I need to try that. Good Friday to ALL.
Oh Sundae. I never tire of pictures of you!
Awww…very sweet comment that would make anyone’s day. The eggs are so festive.
Kids have a way of speaking their truth and she spoke up loud and clear – I see more babysitting in your future, Dianna.
Miss Sundae looks so very cosy on her window seat 😉
Happy Easter to you ❤ MJ
i like the egg plate. 🙂 5 yr old would be fun to spend a few hours with. 🙂
Another great R5F! –
Sundae looks comfy..
and judging by the comment you received, I’d say you did a good job with the babysitting position yesterday ; )
& I think the sunset pic here is just fine!
Happy Easter !
Spring is certainly in the air! Sundae knows just the right place to warm in the sun. Isn’t it fun and eye opening sometimes to play with the little ones.
Hope you and JR have a wonderful and blessed Easter too.
Sundae looks so sweet snuggled in the sun. Glad you had a fun play date. Gorgeous sunset. Thanks for the heads up–I didn’t know when local racing started. Hope you had a great Easter with family. How do you color the eggs? That’s quite unique.
