A Sunset/Sunrise Ensemble

This was the sunset on August 31. The colors were a bit unusual.

It’s rare to see the sky that shade of….. teal? Seafoam? Mermaid green?

But what I found really odd is that the following morning’s sunrise continued the color scheme.

Nature is so coordinated.

  5. How right you are…these colors are quite a unique combination. Very pretty!

Regarding the mail swap…I’m not your buddy so you should be getting or have gotten a second post from someone else. 😉

  6. To paraphrase a Calvin and Hobbes line: If people spent more time in nature and less time with their appliances, there’d be a whole lot fewer atheists.

There’s so much nostalgia in the sunset and hope in the sunrise. I always prefer the latter while bogged down in the former.

    Thank you for the pictures.

  7. wow, that 2nd photo is stunningly beautiful!!! you win the prize, my dear, for the most consistently beautiful sunrises and sunsets in blog land.

  8. These are beautiful!! We just don’t see sunsets and sunrises like that here in the mountains, and there are too many outbuildings in the way. I still think you should have a calendar printed, featuring your pictures. 😉

  9. It is astonishing how many pieces of art nature provides for us, and you manage to capture them so beautifully.

  10. Just beautiful. We see this in Buckroe too.

  11. I don’t want it to read too much like my comment yesterday, but the progression is what counts with these, too! But it’s really cool that the ‘theme’ was carried into the next morning !

  12. How beautiful! I love sunsets/sunrises and these shots are exceptional!

  17. These are breath-taking photos, Dianna. I found it interesting that you picked up on the blues and greens, where the warm tones caught my eye. All together, lovely.
