Last Monday evening, Motor Man and I barely made it home in time to catch the sunset. I don’t recall where we’d been, but once he realized it was going to be a pretty sunset, he rushed us home.
I kept telling him that it would be okay if we missed it. It really wasn’t a big deal.
Sometimes he pays me no mind.
And sometimes I’m glad he doesn’t.

One word – stunning!
I’m glad he didn’t listen to you either! THIS time. =)
Beautiful, calm sunset….well worth the rush home!!
Pam (and Sam)
A calm sunset can be soothing and this one definitely does!
Wow ~ just breathtaking! The blue in that first photo – the deepest hue – is my husbands favorite color. He loves the sky at that time of night….always makes me think of him!
What a gorgeous glorious sunset! What an amazing husband! I thought most husbands rushed home on Monday night to watch football…
oh, me too! these are so peaceful and beautiful!
Thanks Motor Man and you too Dianna, just beautiful!
What a beautiful “Night of Navy” sunset. Did you see the 3 rainbows last evening? Abslolutely breathtaking.
He knew … and proceeded anyway ! I hope you forgave him !
he sounds like my chuck….and always right, of course!!
He’s a smart man. I envy your morning and evening “sets”. So beautiful.
Motor Man sounds like a peach of a fellow . Great photos. I’m glad he got you home in time. 🙂
Your location, on the water, allows for a double sunset; double beauty. This one is special!!
Love these colors. Did he put a racing motor in the family car? 😉 How sweet that he knows how much these mean to you, and wants you to be able to enjoy every one of them. Give him a BIG HUG for me!
More gorgeous pictures! Thanks for sharing.

I commented on this from my iPhone yesterday, but the comment evidently didn’t go through. 😦
Kudos to Motor Man for speeding you home to capture this sunset! I have a friend who used to take numerous sunset photos all in the same spot beside a lake. Each picture would be different, of course, but they’d have the landscape reflected in the water, just like yours. One time, I rotated one of his photos 90 degrees and enhanced it. It made a very interesting picture of symmetry! (It’s what I call ‘digital doodling’!)
Well, thanks for returning to post your comment again! Our neighbor once gave us a photo of our house that she had taken while kayaking. The reflection was so perfect that her husband thought she’d framed it upside-down!
By the way, I just read your “about me” page – I love “please speak slowly; I only hear Southern”! That’s perfect!
That’s so funny about your neighbor’s photo. What a great story to go along with the lovely photography gift!
Glad you liked my little ‘Suthern’ phrase on my “about me” page. I think we both have some of the same Southern roots! My husband and I just finished eating ‘supper’ at our house, and I think you said that was one of your traditions, also! LOL 🙂
Sweet man. Lovely photos!
You have such a sweet and thoughtful husband!! Can I send mine up to yours for some training?? pretty please?? 😉
Sometimes it pays to rush, Beautiful!
