Sundae Says…..Meowy Christmas!

Good morning, blog friends! Sundae, here, wishing you a Meowy Christmas. Since I’m not sure if Motor Mommy’s going to let me have another chance at this blog-writing business before Christmas, I thought I’d give you all a glimpse of what I’ve been up to recently.

It all started when Motor Mommy & Motor Man put up a Christmas tree. I was very good the first couple of days, and just spent time lying under the tree. They thought it was safe to put a few ornaments on it. And one little striped stocking, in particular, caught my eye.

I’ve Motor Mommy created a slideshow to show you what fun I’ve been having with that little stocking.

Uh-oh, I’d better find out if Santa subscribes to Motor Mommy’s blog. If so, I need to get busy on some serious damage control. Hope it’s not too late for this sweet, cute, adorable, well-mannered little calico. (I may need some character references.)

  1. Hey Sundae! No wonder you like that little striped stocking….it’s PURRfect for pushing around the floor and carrying around in the house – just your size! If you need a character reference – count me in…..I know you’re mostly VERY GOOD…..Christmas trees bring out the little devil in us cats, that’s for sure!!

    Love, Sammy

  2. Having owned (or rather having been owned by) a calico cat, I am not sure I could give a character reference, Sundae. You are very cute, and I am sure you try to be good…but I fear the task is one that will require moment by moment attention. I wish you the best of luck. And, to Motor Mommy, I say “Calico kitties never change their spots!”

What a great start to my day! Thanks!

  3. Oh no!. Maybe MM will hang it back up for me? Please MM, please. At least I didn’t climb up the tree.

  4. Meowy Christmas to you too Pretty Girl. 🙂

  5. “Max”, one of my cats just jumped in my lap to read Sundae’s post. He loved it!! He said “if we ever” put our tree up and decorate it it has given him some great ideas! PS to MM – I am thinking the other ornaments in the low lying areas (ironically many cat themed) may be in peril as well:)

  6. Motor Mommy sure did capture you in some fun candid shots Sundae! It makes me smile that you selected that stripey sock. I will have to tell Motor Mommy why it makes me smile so. You know the rumors about Calico kitties and their catitude. I think you have shown great restraint and Santa will take that all in account when he visits.

  7. Well it is within paws’ reach 🙂
She’s such a pretty kitty; I love her guest posts!! MJ

  8. Oh my, Christmas ornaments are sooooo tempting! If you only took ONE down, I would say you are being pretty good : )

  9. Oh Sundae, you had me laughing!! You’re quite a character! You make me miss my kitty’s love. What are you asking for Santa to bring to you?

  10. Such a cute story. Low lying ornaments are meant for Sundae don’t you know?

  11. I completely understand, Sundae. Christmas trees and ornaments just tempt the kitten in even a sedate Calico (which you are NOT!!
    I’m sure Santa will understand.

  12. I think the fact that you’re not up the tree or knocking it over should win you some major points for good behavior!! This is such a minor offense – hardly worth noting. I say good kitty points all around!

  13. that was just too darn cute! santa, please absolve sundae of all of her sins and give her big treats in her (own) stocking!

  14. Relax, Sundae… This is small beans compared to the stuff Brisco Darling the wiener dog has been up to lately!

  15. Merry Xmas Sundae! You are acting just like a cat!! Great photos!

  16. Santa might overlook one small disturbance, but don’t let him catch you lapping his milk and snacking on his cookies! I’m sure MM will put in a good word for you when she mails your letter to him.

  17. Don’t worry Sundae, I’m sure all is forgiven. I think your mom should put some catnip in that little stocking! 🙂

  18. There’s a tree IN the house!! What’s a cat to do?? Whatever she wants to ! The “so busted” pic is great!!

  19. Loved this video, Sundae! My Stormy has been doing pretty much the same thing. I have a little red stocking on the tree that she favors. So far, she hasn’t climbed the tree since the first day we got it up, She may get a visit from Santa if she keeps up the good work!

Aww Sundae is so cute! I’ve yet to decorate my tree. Partly because I’m lazy and Grinchy this year, partly because my 3-year old cats have never seen a Christmas tree. So far they’re leaving it alone and I’m amazed. Somewhat afraid to decorate it though and have them lose their minds.

  21. Sundae, Callie here (Mama’s Empty Nest is my mommy). You are one lucky calico! At least your MM hangs ornaments low enough for you to reach, mine won’t. She put them up high so I just have to try to climb that tree to get those shiny things…and I LOVE shiny things! And then she yells at me. Don’t worry, I’ll be a character reference for you for Santa if you’ll be one for me. We calico girls need to stick together! Meowy Christmas to you too!

  22. I love ‘meowy Christmas’ – haven’t heard that before. I’ll pass that special salutation on to Sweetie Pie, my severely mentally damaged tom cat that I thought was a female and now can’t stop saying ‘she’ not to mention the name ‘Sweetie Pie’. Oops!

Enjoy the tree Sundae, it only comes in doors once a year, Meowy Christmas sweet Sundae.

  24. Oh, I love your Sundae posts. I’m especially fond of the crouching shot. Meowy/Merry Christmas to all in your household and family!

  25. Awww.. Merry Christmas Sundae… I hope you have a wonderful holiday! Great photos and post

  26. No worries Sundae … Santa just told me you will have something under the tree …. BUT … it doesn’t hurt to keep a low profile.
    Huggies
