Sunrise Saturday

My internal alarm clock is in need of resetting. Recently, I’ve been sleeping past the sunrise by just a few minutes. So here’s one from April 5.

It would just be so sad if I kept sleeping through sunrises, and eventually depleted the supply in my archives.

Whatever would I post about on Saturdays?

I may just have to start setting the alarm clock.

(Please note this post is being published at 5:55 a.m. DST, a full six minutes BEFORE sunrise. Internal alarm reset.)

  1. So glad you’ve decided to set the alarm – with those beautiful sunrises of yours there on the water it would be a REAL SHAME if your supply of photos became depleted and you couldn’t keep us entertained with NEW shots!!

  2. It just takes a little longer to adjust to the time changes these days…I find that most days I am struggling to get up by 5am and I used to be up every morning by 4:30…maybe I am still catching up on my rest from the past few weeks of worry and strain! Anyway, your sunrise was beautiful – glad you didn’t miss that one! Have a great day! We are off to the International Birding Festival in Suffolk today!

  3. Glad your internal alarm has been reset! 🙂 I am like Linda, I used to be up by 4 or 4:30 and now I am sleeping till about 5:50. Lovely sunrise, I just love that view! Enjoy your Saturday Dianna!

  4. I love how just the hint of orange in the first shot turns into that bold streak of orange in the end…I wish my internal alarm clock had an early bird setting!

  5. One of the more peaceful sunrises! You’ll soon get used to that alarm clock!

  6. LOL! your last comment is too funny.

  7. Well, speaking as your ‘archivist’ of sorts, the supply is a – few – days away from depletion! You chose a great one here!

  8. Your internal alarm needed reset to wake you up, mine needs reset because I’ve been waking up way BEFORE sunrise. But I’m still too groggy to go out and film the sun coming up, so I’ll just keep viewing your beautiful pictures. 🙂

  9. Glad you got your clockworks fixed! lol If you weren’t there to capture the sunrises, I guess the rest of us would have to get up earlier. 🙂

  12. So gorgeous, Dianna! Wow, it looks so familiar! 🙂 You made some great shots. I hate to admit it but I can’t seem to get up usually before 8:30 and sometimes it later than that! 🙂 Then every once in a while, I wake up at 6:30 and can’t go back to sleep. I occasionally get to see the sunrise here, and that’s very special.
