In the past two weeks, I’ve witnessed “the circle of life” take place among some of the people closest to me.
On September 14, I watched Brad, a young man I’ve known since “before he was born”, marry his beautiful sweetheart. And I cried.
Three days later, my father-in-law, lying in a hospital bed, neared the end of his earthly life. I watched as he motioned his children closer and kissed each of them on the cheek. And I cried.
Eight days later, I learned that my great niece had given birth to a baby boy. (Surprise: during the ultrasound, they were told to expect a girl!) And I cried.
The circle of life. (And many tears.) In just two short weeks.

A “dear” post…..there are tears at all points on the circle and we are reminded to make the most of each moment we have and appreciate that life truly is a circle – it goes on and on with or without us.

WOW, now you have me crying over here. That is definitely the circle of life, some sad tears, others happy, but life goes on. Live life to the fullest!
What a beautiful post!! And brings home so dearly what life is all about. Indeed it was a circle of life in just 2 weeks time. Life is too precious and sometimes brief so we must make the most of it while we can.

Three weeks after my father died on Christmas Eve, my fifth grandchild was born. I understand that roller coaster ride of emotions. We are comforted and reminded that all life is precious.
Now I’ve got tears in my eyes. Each of these things moves us deeply – but sometimes when life sends us a ‘bundle’ it is poignant in an entirely different way.Very powerful.
That’s so sweet. It truly is the circle of life. Life, death and everything in between. It’s enough to make anyone cry! Congratulations on the new little addition to your family.

The Circle of Life. You can’t have joy without knowing sorrow and you can’t have sorrow without experiencing joy. The Circle of Life has seasons. You went through all of yours in two weeks time. Now you have lots of time to do what you’re doing now…reflect.

Life is full, isn’t it? We go from one spectrum to the other with joys and sorrows, joys and sorrows…repeating over and over. But those aspects make our lives so rich with love.

You’ve shed your share of tears, certainly. Thankfully, more happy tears than sad. That’s one downside of ultrasounds, they aren’t 100% accurate. My daughter never wants to know ahead of time, likes the surprise every time.
Oh my goodness! No wonder you cried. These are all major life events and to occur in two short weeks!? This is a truly fine post with so much meaning.
Life goes by so quickly that is wonderful to pause for a moment and welcome in the touching moments. Lovely post Dianna.
This was a post that had to be written to release so much sorrow yet so much joy. You and your family experienced a lot in just over a week. Your circle of life captured a big picture for you and yours and us.
What a beautiful blog, Dianna. Thank the good Lord in this circle of life you had joy to balance the grief. Sense Aug. 19th we have lost 2 family members and 1 wonderful friend, but still life goes on.
