It’s All My Fault

We’re staring at our third snowstorm of the winter. That’s very unusual for our area.

And yesterday, as I puttered around the house, I came to the conclusion that I just may be to blame for all this snow.

After all, I do have a snow couple perched on the bread box in the kitchen. (I made those in a ceramics class over 30 years ago.)

And these little knit skates on an old hall rack.

Maybe it’s these snowflake picks in a crock?

Or this snow family at the stair landing?

Oh, I know: I bet it’s because I still have the old ice skate and sled by the front door.

So that’s it; although it’s still February, perhaps it’s time to pack up all the snowflakes, snow people, ice skates and sleds and replace them with springtime decor!

It’s the least I can do….

  1. So YOU’RE the culprit huh? Well thanks a bunch…..I don’t suppose you could remove all those snow decorations NOW before we get the twelve inches of snow we’re expecting???????

  2. Well, since you’re obviously to blame for the winter weather, how about decorating with some nice daffodils and other spring flowers!?

  3. Just don’t do a Snow Dance. I can deal with twelve inches, if it’s gone the next day. (Love your snow banner and all your snow accent / reminders.)

  4. Perhaps if you put an umbrella or two in the hall rack to beckon some rain showers…
I figured you were getting more. Atlanta is suffering another storm and sister is supposed to fly out of DC tomorrow but so far has been told she can’t as of yesterday.

  5. I love your winter accessories, so cute πŸ™‚ But … it might be time for some spring accents, too!

  6. We’re expecting an onslaught too. Love the sled and skates. They seem to be just waiting for the wintry blast.

  7. We’ve had it with snow up here in New York state (although honestly I think we had more snow in the winter of 2010-2011). Not sure where we are going to put it all! Tomorrow we’re expecting more! The cats like it because it means mummy stays home! ;-D

  8. I’m taking down my door hanger that says Let It Snow today. i am over this snow!

  9. Let’s ALL do the Tulip Dance!!! I’m ready for Spring too.

  10. rofl too funny. Thanks for the smiles this morning. πŸ™‚

  11. It’s not you. It’s February! This is winter and it’s suppose to snow. Growing up in PA this is mild compared to the snow we used to get. So…just enjoy the season you’re in. Live in the moment!

  12. What!?! No heart shaped Valentine wreath that goes up mid-January?
No heart shaped picks? My Mommy says it brings spring faster…

  13. Put it all away !!! πŸ˜‰

Dianna, I have to confess I am your partner in crime. Our outside front foyer is covered in snow men, snow tree, and etc. Most of the time I keep it up till March. Re-thinking it now. Will be posting pictures later! Loved your blog today!! Wonder why????????????????

  15. HeHe! You made me giggle today! I love the snowmen! Hope the weather changes for all of us soon!

  16. Hmmm now whee just need to find out who is responsible for the hurricane type winds and rain in England!

  17. Give it a try anyway!! lol

  18. They are predicting up to 14 inches of snow here before tomorrow is done…. and I don’t have one single reference to winter in the house – no snowmen, sleds or skates – nothing. In fact, I have a sunburst face on the pool house but that isn’t working. So, the weather’s not your fault Dianna, but your post is delightful!

  19. So it’s YOU Dianna!!!!! We had snow on the ground when we got home!!!

  20. Yep I think everyone still displaying their wintery dΓ©cor needs to box it all up. How funny. Our snow went away yesterday.

  21. Well, now we know! Big of you to take the blame for all the winter weather. Please use your super powers and bring on spring! πŸ™‚ ~ Sheila

  22. I’m ready to put up spring decorations too! Even if they don’t really make spring come any faster, at least they give the feeling that it’s right around the corner. Cute post, and I’m enjoying your photos and the lighthearted tone of your blog. πŸ™‚

  23. Well, good luck with that, Dianna. I packed away all of my ‘snowy’ decorations at the end of January and we’re still getting snow…more to come tonight. πŸ˜‰

  24. And I thought my daughter was responsible…
