Fourteen years ago today, Motor Man and I were married in a small ceremony at historic Bacon’s Castle.
Although this isn’t a very good photo, it’s the only one of us with the house in the background.
The date was 02-02-02. And although we had planned to begin at 2:00, we decided to wait a couple of minutes, so our wedding would start at 2:02.
So many happy memories of that day, including Motor Man, before the ceremony, helping Marshall with his tie.
And this moment, which probably needs a little explanation. During the reception, my camera was never far away. (The photographer even mentioned that she’d never seen a bride with a camera. And my reply to her: “Well, now you have.”) I asked Motor Man to hold my bouquet for a second, and when I looked back, I saw this. We’ve chuckled at this picture for fourteen years.
So, Happy Anniversary to my Motor Man.
I love making memories with you.
