Sunrise Kayaker

It’s been awhile since I posted a sunrise or sunset picture. I really don’t want you to become bored with them.

But I wanted to share this sunrise from May 28.  Normally I just go out on our deck in my pj’s to take sunrise pictures. On this particular morning, (thankfully, before I stepped out),  I noticed a kayaker in the water between our yard and the marina.

I decided it might be best if I dressed before going out to take my sunrise photos. And that worked out well, because it enabled me to actually walk out into our yard to get pictures from a little different angle than usual.

Sunrise is such a peaceful, beautiful time of day.

I’m always disappointed if I sleep through it.

I’m guessing that kayaker must be of the same opinion.

  1. Great pictures! When we’re at the beach Ritchey always gets up in time to take sunrise pictures! How could one ever get bored with such beauty?

  2. I never get bored with the sunrise and sunset pictures, either. And it is very beautiful and peaceful at sunrise….I’ve always been an early morning person.

  3. Bored? No way. Love the different angles you got.
    Happy Weekend!

  4. oh, that last one just gave me chills.

and i agree with the previous commenter – bored? are you kidding?!

  5. Thanks for visiting and leaving such a nice comment!
I visited the “old house” blog link and loved it. Just takes me back to my roots.

Your sky pictures are beautiful. I never get tired of looking up.
    Have a great weekend.

  6. Hi! all your pictures are so beautifully taken. Never, think we are tired of them. They portray nature, so well, and so many people never stop and indulge in the beauty, as you do………………..jj

  7. Never could be bored with them; each one is unique. The 2nd one is my fave: the marsh grass effect is nice … and if you enlarge the picture and look closely, there’s a single bird sailing through ……

  8. Ah sweet serenity. You have a wonderful eye for catching the sunrise (and sunsets) at it’s finest. 🙂

  9. Magnificent photos! The sunrise is always my treat to self when we’re in a beautiful vacation spot…quiet, alone, meditation, beauty….peace. What a blessing to have all that right in your back yard!!

  10. Lovely pictures. I never tire of them, either. I don’t see many sunrises, thanks for sharing yours. Hmm I may be able to now that the oak is gone, it blocked them pretty well.

When the night is beginning to lower,
Comes a pause in the days occupations…”
love those lines and you put images to them. Beautiful May 28.

Please do not stop showing your lovely sunrise and sunset shots. They are a great reminder of Who puts them in the sky Great job, keep it up..

  13. You are lucky to have an unobstructed view of the sunrise. A pine grove is between me and the early morning sun. I always like for the sun to shine in my windows and as the trees grow taller, it is later when the sun finally comes over their tops, so it isn’t in the house very long.

  14. So beautiful and peaceful. Keep the sunrise and sunset pictures coming!

  15. oooohhhhh these are just gorgeous. i never tire of beautiful sunrise or sunset pictures!!!

  16. Wow! I love them all but the second one took my breath away!
