With all the busyness of the holidays, it’s been awhile since I’ve had a Sunrise Saturday and Sunset Sunday weekend here on These Days.
This was the sunrise on December 21, and I may have missed it if not for Motor Man’s phone call. He was on his way to work and called to say that I could probably get some pretty sunrise shots.
Hmmm. I do believe he was right.
I seem to recall that the weather had been rather changeable the day before, with periods of rain, and there was a chance of a thunderstorm the morning these photos were taken.
My buddy, Groom Swan, came by for a visit. He always adds a special touch to a beautiful sunrise.
It was one of those mornings when I couldn’t stop taking pictures.
A future Sunrise Saturday was waiting.

If I had a view like this I wouldn’t be able to stop taking pictures either! Lovely colors – especially the pink. Even your buddy Groom Swan had to float around and enjoy it!
