An old weathered white fence.

Under a bright blue sky.

Just recently happened to catch my eye.

Linking up to Friday’s Fences.

  1. Love the grain on the wood…..you have to wonder how many coats of white paint that old fence received before the owner decided to just stop painting! Looks a bit like the Washington Monument – many years from now of course!

  2. Very cool Dianna! Beautiful poem, love it:) You couldn’t have picked better descriptions for each picture! The blue sky is absolutely beautiful and the the missing bolt on the fence post is definitely an “eye”.

  3. Very poetic, both word-wise, and photo-wise! And, I see an eye on the fence post! Beautiful. And, as to my pink fence, it is outside a restaurant in Waverly, on Rt. 460…right at the stoplight. I was definitely intrigued by it – Pepto-Bismol is right!

  4. Love the perspective and the detail. (and you rhymed!!)

  5. Me too…love your perspective n your ryhme goes so well!

  6. Great captures Dianna. Love the textures of the fence and the composition and just plain old love that fence post with the wood grain, cracks and weathered look. And I like your rhyme too!

  9. And all because we pulled in the lane to turn around … Now I can see why you grabbed this pic that day! & the rhyme gives it that extra touch! .. & I like the “eye” effect !

The old fence reminds me of time gone by and I’m sure lots of memories.
