This was last Saturday’s sunrise. Notice the goose swimming toward the right.
A few minutes later, he abruptly turned and began swimming in the other direction. Did the voice on his GPS say: “Make a u-turn if possible”? Did he forget something at home? Was there a detour sign ahead?
All silliness aside, Happy Weekend. May all your u-turns be for good reasons.

Who knows what whirls around in the mind of a patroling goose! Or perhaps as you suggest, his GPS gave him instructions for an “about face” and he obeyed! Beautiful sunrise no matter WHAT was going on with that goose………. 😀

Your commentary reminds me….when my dad and I travel together we’re always hooked to the big horse trailer…it isn’t very often we can pull off a u-turn but we do have an occasional “loop-de-loo” we gotta execute (aka, go, sometimes miles, till you *can* turn around) cause we’ve missed an exit or turn. 🙂 Oh to be a goose!

Wonder if that goose’s GPS took him in circles like mine did to me once? Ha. I’ve seen geese do that immediately turn around while swimming thing and I’ve always wondered what made them turn around. Lovely photos.
I often wonder about animals’ guidance systems…how do they know where to go?! Wish I had it! I have absolutely no sense of direction.

fun post! I did 3 u-turns today 🙂 On my way to a bridal shower in a part of town I don’t know that well … good thing I put the pasta salad I was contributing .. on the floor. One abrupt turn was probably 1 too many – ha!

The goose was probably trying to get a good parking space with the best sunrise view. That is absolutely gorgeous!
