Since there’s also a wire fence there, I’m not sure what the purpose of the wooden fence is, but I love the old faded blue paint.

I’m gonna say from past experiences that the “blue fence” is probably blocking a hole in the wire fence… 🙂 Someone clearly is trying to keep their critters out of the creek – I think!

Whatever the reason, it made for a nice focal point! I like that weathered blue!
Folks do some quirky things to keep the fences up. lol

Oh I so love that fence…I would have asked the owner of the property if I could take it home!!!

I would have to agree … looks like a quick fix; a patch … a “fence fence” 😀 It’s a great blue …
Since the fence is alongside a stream of water, more than likely the blue section has been put over a hole in the fence. We have creeks running through some pastures, and when it rains enough to wash out the fences, sometimes they get repaired with whatever is handy.
Great picture there’s something very peaceful about the scene.

Could be to keep animals out of that drainage pipe, but a strange choice for water, at any rate. Love the washed out blue.

That blue “fence” looks like the removable tailgate from an old pickup truck.

It looks like this fence may have been in the path of some high waters at one time? Still hanging on!
That makes me want to wander around those nearby woods to see if Huck Finn is there!
