Okay, for those of you who have e-mail subscriptions to my blog, you’ve probably already seen today’s post. Yesterday, I once again clicked “publish” by mistake, when I meant to click “preview”.
So here’s today’s post: new to some of you, a rerun for others:
Reaching back in the photo archives for today’s Barn Charm entry. These were taken in July when we were in the St. Michaels’ area of Maryland.
The first glimpse. Hmm….wonder if we can get closer? Can we get a better shot?
Yes, there’s a lane! Do you see a “No Trespassing” sign?
Got it! We can go now!
(Sound familiar to you other Barn Charmers?)
Linking up to Barn Charm.
Oh…and WordPress: could we PUHLEASE get an “are you sure you’re ready to publish this post?” warning…. for careless bloggers like me?

Ah-hah! I kept getting the ‘sorry, we can’t locate the page you are looking for’ message and wondered what went wrong. Meant to say – Be Careful. You might stumble upon someone whose barn is housing something he doesn’t wish to be photographed. Love your barns though.
This is a nice one…glad you were able to get to the barn without anyone chasing you off with a shotgun! I am the fearful one…Dan would just dirve up the driveway and ask for permission if he saw anyone!
Love St. Michaels….that’s a charmer of a barn – seen better days but just needs a fresh coat of paint!

I am glad I am not the only one who hits publish when I mean to hit preview 🙂
Great pictures!
I have it the publish instead of preview button before -not good!
Beautiful photos, Dianna.

Glad you got your shot!! If Marshall had been with you, he would have said, shoot first, ask permission second. (If needed! LOL!)
Oh man I love this barn! That roof!! Little tractor in the overhang~charming!! Barn-lets.. 🙂 I think Ida been more worried about ticks.. 😯 Did you get out of the car to run around that charming barn?
Terrific barn!
That pitch is steep and the top overhang so interesting.
No, I didn’t catch this the first time around. 🙂 Thank you again for another fresh start to my day.
LOL…I can relate to trying to get closer for a good shot of a barn. you never know who is watching. Love this barn..lots of charm
Love your barn pictures, Dianna! You have such an eye for detail and beauty.
It was worth the risk to get closer. I love the roof line.
love that final shot! gorgeous!
I really, really love that last shot!
Great shots! – I really like the peak over the loft door – a great feature for some of these old ones. And as far as trespassin’ goes: sometimes you just have to know the right name to drop …. :]
That’s a great looking barn, Dianna! Most of my barn shots are drive-bys, but I have been known to, ahem, trespass a wee bit. Love that last shot!
So many of the coolest old barns around me are locked up with no trespassing sign. They’re in the middle of a field off the main road. Because I’m my worst critic when it comes to photography I can’t get a good angle if perched high on the road shooting down on the barn with a poor angle. Maybe someday I’ll bump into the farm owner and get him/her to open that gate for half an hour. I go everywhere with a camera so I’m always looking for that next “postcard” shot.
Yep, in and out fast. 🙂
This barn was worth getting in closer to capture. 🙂
You’re not the only one who has hit “publish” too soon. Nice barn, that’s a lovely area of Maryland. Yes, gotta have a getaway driver sometimes! I saw a sign in northern Virginia that I would like to have gotten a photo of, but it was rather threatening!
What a great barn! I love the faded paint and it’s shape too!
Love those old barns. So few of them left. I saw a man off the side of the road painting a scene on the prairie with a similar barn just this month.
Fantastic & Fabulous… Fantabulous! Love barn & lovin the surroundings, too… the roof, the tree, the sliding barn door… lovin it all!
Happy Barn Charmin =)
Maybe you should think of wearing running shoes when you take barn pictures. Hey it’s a thought 🙂 Just shots!
