For Friday’s Fences this week, a fence that’s definitely “seen better days”.
The owner of the property passed away several years ago. Now the farm is for sale, and the barns in the background are being dismantled.

That must have been quite a beautiful farm (and fence) in its’ day…..changes are inevitable of course but somehow it’s sad to say goodbye! Hopefully the property won’t turn into a strip mall…..LOL

I know it would sadden the owner to see it so run down….think of all the busy, happy times the family had on that farm for many years!
Love the wonky old fence for picture takin’ but sad about the barns being dismantled.. π¦ Bet it is going to be a big old subdivision! Good Morning Dianna!
There’s always such a deep since of a broken heart in a farm without a farmer. It’s so sad. You can tell the farmer loved the farm and put alot of heart in it. I hope the next owners do as well.
It’s a lovely old fence.
Sometimes I don’t know the fences you feature, but I knew this one right away! This one has definitely been around for a few ….
awww. rather sad. but makes for a great photo.
It is so sad to me to see farm buildings and fences run down, but they do make great photos! Good grief, I just read what Theresa said above…we think alike!! Oh well, I’ll post this anyway even if it is a repeat. π
Have a happy weekend!
Yes, it’s seen better days. Would love to be able to buy that property though! π
so sad, i always wonder why the family doesn’t take over these places. seems that real farming is a lost trade/art!! beautiful images!!
so sad to see the end of a once very nice farm.
I love old and crumbling structures – fences included. You always find the most interesting angles too.
Hope someone buys the farm and fixes it up. It could a lovely farm again.
It does look like a nice property.
I always look forward to your Friday’s Fences posts. They are so much fun. I hope someone buys the farm who cares as much about it as the previous farmer once did.
π¦ Beautiful property .. hope someone buys it up and loves on it. MJ
Oh no! I was just thinking – what a nice building!
I hope someone buys the place who will really care enough to restore it…hate to see places like this allowed to deteriorate! ~ Sheila
Is this close to your Outer Banks area? If so, SOLD! I’m going to go tell Wranglers we are moving!
Oh, too bad the barn is being dismantled. I’d love to have a fence like that around my property – maybe one day! β€
