Gypsy’s Journal – Page 5

Happy Thursday, folks; Gypsy here with another page of my journal.

I had some excitement on Monday evening. When Motor Man came into the shop on Tuesday morning, I immediately led him to the mouse I had killed during the night!  (Sorry: no photo.)

But, as the day went on and Motor Mommy got there, they noticed that I was not “myself”. I spent almost all day in my bed; I didn’t play, I didn’t run around (launching off the back of Motor Mommy’s chair onto the filing cabinet), I didn’t “talk” to Motor Man like I usually do, I didn’t eat very much.  They were very concerned about me.

But yesterday, I was fine!

Why I was pokey on Tuesday, we don’t really know. Was it the excitement of catching a mouse?  Did I wear myself out, chasing him around the shop?

Whatever the reason, my pawrents were SO relieved yesterday to see that I was back to normal.

I overheard a conversation they had, and guess what? I’m being promoted to Chief Executive in charge of pest control!

I love my job!

  1. awww, Gypsy you look so terribly puny. Sorry you weren’t feeling well but so glad you are up and around to take on your new position. Wow! Congratulations.

  2. YAY Gypsy! Well, I’d say that chase wore you out….and I’m glad you’re finally on the Payroll at the shop…it’s about time!

    Hugs, Sammy

  3. Gypsy, maybe you just tuckered out — chasing mice around can be exhausting. But you perked up just in time for your promotion to your new job. 😉

  4. Poor baby, you do look a bit off. But you look well recovered in your Mom’s arms. I bet that chase wore you out! Congratulations on your promotion!

  5. Glad you got your ‘spunk’ back after your day of rest and relaxation. I think you already have a job of ‘cutest shop kitty’ in addtion to pest control.

  6. Bless your heart. I guess you needed a day to mourn.
You did a super job in your new position. I’m proud of you. It’s a wonderful gift you give to your pawrents (did I spell that right?) keeping the rodents controlled makes it safer for them and you and their customers too. I think you deserve a raise.
You’re a sweetie, I’m happy you’re feeling better and are getting back to your perky self.

  7. We don’t have a cat, but we don’t have mice either. I think the local snake population must take care of them because we haven’t seen one mouse in the over 7 years we have lived here in Virginia. I think that’s weird. Good job on the mouse catching, kitty cat, and congratulations on your promotion. xox

  8. very glad it wasn’t something bad!

  9. Wow Gypsy! You are the Queen of your domain! Yous slayed a vicious Mousie!

  10. Would definitely need to take a breather after that activity! One of your best photos at the end here, too 😉

  11. Great Job Gypsy! We haven’t seen any mousies in our house yet. We’re jealous. 😦 Bo and Ko

  12. Wow! Congrats on that promotion!

They could do with a Mouser at Mummy’s work as there are some living in the basement! As long as they don’t get into the main office they are ignoring them but Mummy has named the cheekiest one she has seen Pascal, for some reason, she thinks he’s French. Hoomans!

    Have a great day

    Nacho, Noah, Buddy & Basil

  13. Congratulations Gypsy and my oh my you are pretty!

  14. Humans just do not understand what HARD WORK it is to catch mice! Job well done, Gypsy, and congrats on your well deserved promotion.

  15. Oh I am happy to hear Gypsy is feeling more like herself. Perhaps the mouse had something wrong with it and that could have made her feel a little ill.

  16. You must have given your folks a good scare! Glad to hear you are feeling better. Congratulations on your new title. Does that come with catnip?

  17. Happy Friday Gypsy and Sundae, whee have a surprise waiting for you on our blog!

  18. Oh, I’m so glad you are feeling more like yourself Gypsy! I know your pawrents were worried sick about you. And congratulations on your promotion too. Well deserved.
