Sunday evening, in our travels, Motor Man and I happened upon a man who was on his way to deliver this old truck to its new owners.
It had been bought at an auction the day before in a town about an hour from us.
It’s a 1929 Ford Model A pick-up truck. This is the back license plate.
And this is the front. I tend to think this plate might be the original.
It even has a spare tire!
No frills here.
This old truck caught my eye right away. It was even more interesting to me when I discovered that it was a 1929 model: that’s the year my parents were married. (I, of course, came along MANY years later.)
We were told the new owner paid $8,000 for this sweet little ride. I can’t imagine how much it will cost to restore, but I’m betting it will be a beauty when it’s done.
