Sunrise Quote From A Friend

There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.
                                                                                                                         ~Bern Williams

One of the blogs I recently discovered is My Memory Art.  Follow this link to visit Adrienne. She’s a scrapbooker and often showcases her beautiful layouts.

Last week, Adrienne sent the above quote to me. She said she thought about my sunrise photos when she read it. Isn’t that sweet? And it just so happens that I have pictures today to accompany that quote.

But you probably already knew that, didn’t you?

These pictures were taken during Thursday morning’s sunrise.

Remember I recently mentioned how the sun seems to be on fast forward when it’s rising or setting?  These pictures were all taken in less than six minutes.

Thanks, Adrienne, for thinking of me – and for the wonderful quote.

  1. Aren’t you lucky to get to see that sunrise every day 🙂 It’s beautiful!

  2. Have I thanked you for sharing your sunrise and sunset pictures so I always have them to see even though I can’t see them from my apartment window? Love all your pictures and the quote!

  3. I’ll be gone for a week or so…unless I can get connected…but I’ll be thinking of you as a I see our sunrises and sunsets at the lake with my mother, brother and family, and Rick. Four lovely pictures here.

  4. Growing up in CA, the sun rose over the desert/mountains and set over the oceans. The sunsets were undoubtedly the more beautiful. Yet I far preferred the sunrises, so full of hope, to the sunsets, so full of nostalgia. In a pinch, though, I’d take either one. Thank you for sharing the pics!

  5. What a thoughtful thing for her to do. I will go look at her site.
Your sunrises over the water/marina are always so pretty. Love the light on the water in the last shot. I guess you already know you are a blessed girl indeed to witness daily both sunrises and sunsets over the water! VERY cool.

  6. beautiful. it is a great quote!

  7. People will talk about “twilight” in reference to evening-time, but Morning Twilight –> Sunrise can be even more magical – the first pic here is morning twilight! Another great series!

  8. That quote was perfect for you! Beautiful pictures. My first thought when I saw the title was, “Sundae started talking.” lol

  9. …Sundae started talking!! love it! That twilight blue is my husband’s favorite color. I love the last one with the intense orange glow. The quote really belongs with your blog pics!!

  10. Thanks for my Birthday Sunrise! It was the start of a great day!!

  11. The sun is beginning to move towards fall and winter, even though it’s too hot to realize it. We have south facing windows and around the 21st of June there is no sun shining in at noon. Now, only a few days later, it’s making a show of about two inches on the windowsill.

  12. The perfect marriage of words and photos.
