Last Wednesday afternoon was a stormy one. But, as is often the case, the sky had begun to clear by sunset.
So I was in my usual spot.
Watching as the sun found its way through the storm clouds.
Then I happened to look to my right, and saw this interesting cloud formation. That’s the sunset reflecting off the breakwater at the marina.
A few minutes later, I looked even further to my right, and saw this partial rainbow.
Back to the clouds. With the sun’s reflection.
And, some time later, one last shot of the storm clouds.
The sky had a busy evening.

The sky always seems to be busy over the river.
The calm of the empty boats on the still water. The light and the reflection and the changing colors ~ These are beautiful photos, and carry with them such a sense of peace. I love them!

I just love the photo with the clouds in the sunset; I don’t know if you’ve ever approached the Rocky Mountains by car, but that’s a little bit what it looks like. At first, your eyes make you feel like they are playing tricks on you and then you realize that what you thought were clouds are the mountains peeking through. Stunning photos! MJ
So much going on here : the rays of sunlight coming through in the first pic, and the deep blues of the last pic. And what’s really cool is seeing the change in the cloud system from the 3rd pic to the last one .. The sky never disappoints out there !
