A Few Of My Favorite….Pics

A little recap of some of my favorite photos from this Christmas:

Christmas morning found all 19 of Motor Man’s family members gathered at the home of his sister and brother-in-law.

Motor Man and I were happy to sit back and watch all the hustle and bustle.

With three little ones in the family under the age of three, there was plenty of activity. And lots of photo ops.

Our niece Ashley sharing a fun moment with son, Christian, on his first Christmas,

Sweet Livy and Great Grandaddy exchanging Christmas smiles,

Our great-nephew Josey was given an old camera to play with, but preferred to use it as a telephone. Hello, Santa? Thanks for my goodies!

Later in the day, Marshall visited, and we exchanged gifts. Before he was born, I stitched this “Chessie” picture for his nursery. It had been stored away at his house for many years, but he searched the attic, found it and gave it to me for Christmas.

I realize that I shared this photo of Sundae last week. But she reminded me that it’s my favorite Christmas picture of her and insisted that it be a part of today’s post.

Our Christmas was just the right mix of busy and quiet. To use one of Marshall’s expressions: “good times”. I hope yours was too.

  1. It’s family that makes it special, huh?
The Merry-okee mic helps, too! We also had one this year; talk about good times!

  2. Thanks for sharing your family Christmas moments – looks like everyone was happy, relaxed, and glad to be together….just as it should be. Very sweet gift from Marshall !

  7. Family is everything and yours is special. What a great gift from Marshall to go with your picture you found antiquing. We are looking forward to spending New Years Eve with you two.

  8. What great Christmas scenes! You and MM look so relaxed.

  9. Such fun ~ all generations, I love that! I’ve gotten a few important ‘keepsakes’ back over the years, and they have to be among my favorite things. There were times, especially when my kids were younger, that I’d give things to people…and not think to make something similar for myself. So getting some of the treasures back, is wonderful!

  10. I love all of your “Favorites” and I can not say which I love the best, as they are all good. Also, I think I see one of your photos in the Daily Press, today……………Congratulations!!!!! love you……………

  11. I see the love in the photos…

  16. Your pictures are evidence to prove you had a blessed Christmas! I bet watching those little ones was so much fun. I especially liked seeing the sentimental side of your son giving his mom a special picture. You have lovely memories to cherish and always remember because you have the photos. 🙂

  17. A great collection here .. I was so happy to find that picture ! .. It was face down at the bottom of a box I had never been to the bottom of before. But as soon as I put my hand on the frame, I knew I’d found it …. The pic of Pop here is my favorite: you don’t see that sort of smile every day 🙂

  18. Looks lovely. Merry Christmas! -kate

  19. Looks like a jolly time was had by all. I love all the smiles. I’m so happy you all had a great trip. Your photos are lovely and show the heart & fun of the season. Marshall is a great son to give such a treasured gift to you. Sweet! Wishing you all a Very Happy New Year. 🙂

Love your Christmas pictures, We also had a wonderful Christmas. We had a service man in our home for Christmas dinner (a friend of my oldest Grandson’s), It was a honor to have him with us other wise he would have been alone for Christmas. No way Chuck and I would let that happen.

  21. Nice Christmas photos, Dianna. You and Motor Man look so sweet together in the first one. The last one of Sundae looks really familiar if I just substitute Stormy’s face for hers!
Have a wonderful weekend and Happy New Year!

  22. Lovely. And the last one is perfect.

  23. Who needs entertainment when there are children around? lol That is a great picture of Sundae, I’m glad she insisted. Enjoyed seeing all your pictures.

  24. That was a great morning. I love Christmas! It was so great seeing everyone. Very sweet and thoughtful of Marshall to get the picture out.

  25. Dianna, I really enjoyed seeing these photos — each of them special in a different way — and wonderful memories for you! I have missed visiting my favorite blogs during the holidays, and am trying to catch up. I get your posts by email and can see them on my phone, but don’t always have much luck posting comments from the phone. It’s always more fun to come here to your blog on my computer and take time browsing around. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! to you and your family. =)
