Sunrise Saturday

Remember last Sunday, I wrote that I probably would no longer be sharing sunrise and sunset photos on the weekends?

Well….when I woke up to this on Tuesday morning, I immediately changed my mind. (Click to enlarge the picture.) Remember the line in that old song by The Circle: “The morning sun is shining like a red rubber ball”?

It doesn’t matter if my readership is down on the weekends. Or if I don’t have a lot of comments on the weekend posts. And it’s okay if some of my readers see the title of the post and decide not to read it because they’re a little tired of sunrise and sunset photos.

I may not always have snappy captions for the pictures.

But I’m just not ready to give up my Sunrise Saturdays and Sunset Sundays.

  1. I’m just one of MANY of your sunset/sunrise fans who are thrilled to hear you aren’t stopping this lovely weekend tradition! With sunrises and sunsets like YOU capture, it would be depriving us of so much waterside beauty and that just would NOT be fair!! The reference to The Circle’s song is perfect…..just perfect.

  2. I don’t know about the readership, or the comments…since I am usually one of the early ones – but I NEVER get tired of your sunrise and sunset shots! I am always so jealous of your morning and evening views – so I just get my “fix” by looking at your photos! Hope you have a great day and stay cool!

  3. HooRay! I look forward to your weekend posts! The beautiful sunrises and sunsets make me smile and make me feel peaceful and remind me of our boating days on the Potomac River!

  7. I’m so glad you decided to continue to inspire us with your weekend sunrise/sunset photos. Since the trees block my sunrises and sunsets, I particularly enjoy yours. My weekend wouldn’t be as bright without them!

That’s the way I look at it too. If you got something to share you do and if you don’ don’t! Comments or no. Numbers up or numbers down…
No biggie…We all love your stuff. Don’t stop!

  11. Glad you decided to keep posting on the weekends … but somehow I knew you would 😉 And – as a Simon & Garfunkel fan – I’ve always thought it was cool that Paul Simon actually wrote “Red Rubber Ball” !! & it’s the perfect caption for this one !

  15. I’m so glad! I wasn’t going to weigh in…cause sometimes we all just need a bit of a break…but these are my favorite weekend posts! That last photo, where the orange just radiates, is amazing!!

  16. “I think it’s gonna be alright. Yeah, the worst is over now, the morning sun is shining like a red rubber ball.” Perfect pictures for that great old song! And now I have it stuck in my head for the rest of the evening! 😉

  17. Who can get tired of these beautiful scene? The red sun in this series is stunning! Keep up the good work! And if I don’t comment, it’s usually because I’m taking a few days off the blogging circuit to be busy in the rest of my life…not because I’m disinterested! ~ Sheila
