A couple of years ago, I shared pictures of the barns on the property at Windsor Castle. The manor house there was built in 1725 by Arthur Smith, founder of our town of Smithfield. Click here to see that post.
A few weeks ago, Motor Man and I went riding after our first snowfall of the season, and I took this photo of some of those same barns. I added a little “vignette” frame and was pleased with the result.
This winter is bringing us more snow than we normally see. Our forecast for tomorrow says we may have 2-4 inches of snow. Our area has difficulty with any snow at all, but it sure makes for pretty pictures.
Almost everyone I know is ready for spring…
~These Days Of Mine~

I vote for Spring! But the pictures you’ve shared from this winter’s snows have been an enjoyable bonus. THANKS!
That is a pretty photo but I too am definitely on the bandwagon for Spring to hurry up….we may get as much as 12 inches of snow….hoping they’re WRONG!

This is a beautiful photo with exceptional lighting bringing out the red in them. You do live in an area rich in history.
So many colors that contrast with the snow. They’ve changed the forecast so many times, the forecasters don’t even believe their own guesses.
Absolutely beautiful. I love snow pictures.
I agree. I love snow pictures. Your vignette barn in the snow is charming.
I hope your snow is light and fleeting.
We’re in a tweener region and the weather forecasts have been mostly misses. It must be frustrating for the weather-guys. We’ve reached the point this winter where we base our forecast on looking out the window and what we see is what we rely on. lol
Lovely vignette. The blue sky is very uplifting and holds a promise of sunnier times. I just wrote about hoping for sunnier times as well on my blog. Seems to be a unified thought these days…

I’m ready for Spring, too, but the snow really does provide some great photo ops… if only it could melt later in the day !
I love the snow! You’re lucky to have a “driver” who can drive you around in it to get some of those great shots!
Your snow pictures tell our winter story so far this year, Your pictures certainly show the beauty of winter. Beautiful or not I am so ready for SPRING!! Here we go again!!
That shot is absolutely beautiful Dianna!
This is wonderful. I clicked to enlarge and am glad I did. The vignette edit worked great here.
That is a nice photo.
