Random Five Friday

My five random thoughts for today:

1.)Recently in our travels,  Motor Man and I happened by this goat family.  From the gruff old billy goat (get it?) to those sweet little babies, we had all age groups covered in this one picture. By the way, their owner had just called them to dinner.

2.)  My Motor Man captured this pretty picture of the full moon a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed: nighttime photography is tricky.

3.) And “golden hour” photography isn’t just for outdoors. I love the early morning light in our dining room.

4.) You may recall this sweet-faced feral kitty who used to reside behind our shop.

I have good news in several regards.  Good news #1: she and her mom, Miss Curly Ears,

…have both been tamed and adopted by commercial tenants of ours. Good news # 2: the calico kitten is now a mommy of six.

Good news #3: I think three of the six are pre-adopted.  And Good news #4: grandmommy, mommy and kittens now live in a building directly behind our shop, so I can visit whenever I want. (I’m trying not to be a pest.)

5.)  This will be a repeat for those of you who are Facebook friends of mine.  This week, a friend of mine shared this cute video:

Although it’s a very sweet video (gotta love a man who likes cats), I was completely astonished by how much that guy favors my Marshall.  Since Marshall is rarely seen without his Phish cap, I thought I’d share a “hatless” picture of him from a few years ago.  They say everyone has a twin, and I do believe we have found Marshall’s.

  1. So cute!

  2. That’s a beautiful shot of the moon. You’re right, the night time photos can be tricky.

  3. This was a glorious blog of happy– love goats – (more with each passing year -strange!), great moon shoot, lovely interior frozen in beauty shot, good news on the neighborhood kittys….and closing with handsome son’s clone! Nice end to the week- I smiled from goats to Marshall! Good weekend!

  4. BEUATIFUL pictures – the Moon – O my goodness! The morning light bathes everything with such an attractive light. That kissing kitty is precious, and YES, that is surely Marshall’s twin. I thought that too. Good Friday to you!

  5. Great photos as always…..love JR’s moon shot! I did see that video on FB and the man truly does look a lot like Marshall (or vice versa). I do think we all have a twin out there somewhere…..I had a little friend in grade school and we were constantly being mistaken for each other but I’ve not run into anyone else all these years. Maybe it’s good that there may be only one me – – – the world might not be ready for more!

  6. Motor Man’s shot of the moon is awesome!!!
So happy to hear about the kitties being adopted.
Loved the video of the kitty and guy kissing. Marshall and the man do look a lot alike. That kitty cracks me up, wanting kisses!!!

  7. I too am smitten by the way light falls in different rooms. Your photo is lovely. And Marshall with a twin means there are two identical handsome young fellas around.

  8. Glad everything has worked out for the cat family from out back !
I used to have the mustache, too .. Got tired of it, though !
& .. great shot of the moon – they are tough ….

  9. Definitely Marshall’s twin! Great random 5 🙂 MJ

  10. Those goat kids are so cute! Nice shot from MM! That is a lovely shot of your dining room. I saw the swan on the table and thought someone had let himself in. Good news for the kitty family – and you! So glad some of the kittens have homes in line.
