I missed the actual sunrise yesterday by just a few minutes. But the morning was calm and beautiful when I opened the curtains. So I grabbed the camera and hurried out on the deck.
A few minutes later, an egret flew by, his squawking interrupting the quiet of the morning. He and his reflection formed an almost complete circle.
It was a picture-perfect start to the day.

Excellent way to honor her today… The reflection of the egret is really cool; if the water hadn’t been as smooth, you probably wouldn’t even have been able to see it! It is almost a perfect circle. And don’t forget about the sun: it’s awesome when you can make out the ‘disc’ !! – another circle 😉
