Motor Man and I spotted this barn last week. It’s located on property that’s for sale near Chuckatuck, a little village just a few miles from us.
We don’t know anything about the age of it. Was it built around an old log structure? Did the owner just opt to build a barn with a log center? We don’t have the answers, but here’s a close-up shot.
Linking up to Barn Charm.

Love the log cabin barn. So original.
That truly is the most interesting barn structure I’ve EVER seen! Hard to figure out just how it came to be…but one thing is for sure – it’s INTERESTING!

Here’s another one in the area that I don’t ever remember seeing before. We’re going to have to find out more about this one – the “cabin” part looks very well built ; master craftsman style !!
That is a very unusual looking barn – and I’m loving all of those logs.
By the way I really love the name Chuckatuck, that’s a great name for a town 🙂

Looks so much like my Lincoln Log structures! Love it! And I’ve heard of Chuckatuck, too, but didn’t know where it was.

very unique!
I’m gonna venture a guess that this old barn will be standing for a looong time w/ those logs in there like that… looks pretty sturdy, doesn’t it?!
Thanks so much for joining & hopefully I’ll have Barn Charm back up & running next week! =)
