So, What’s A Girl To Do?

For my birthday in June, my friend, Pam, sent me a beautiful green scarf. She commented that the color reminded her of sea glass.

My friend, Donna, gave me an equally lovely scarf for my birthday. It’s multi-colored, mostly greens and blues, and she also said that she thought of sea glass when she saw it.

So when Motor Man and I attended the Sea Glass Festival last weekend, I obviously wanted to wear BOTH scarves.

What to do?

Here was my solution: I put on Pam’s scarf that morning and wore it for the first part of the festival.

There's a little something extra in this photo. Can you spot it?

Before we left home, I had packed Donna’s scarf in my tote, and I switched scarves halfway through the festival.

Thanks, girls, for my scarves. And to Motor Man for documenting that I actually wore both of them at the festival.

If only all dilemmas could be so nice!

  1. How nice that you wore BOTH scarves! They’re both “your colors” too and that sea glass festival just HAD to be the perfect place to show them off…..

  2. Very pretty – your friends know what looks good on you 🙂

I see the little butterfly pin in the first picture but I also saw the sea glass jewelry – I think? 🙂

  3. Since I didn’t see the little extra in the first picture, I’m going crazy trying to find it!
    Both scarves are lovely.

  4. I would wear them together! Give them a twist and give it a try!

  5. Perfect solution for the wearing of the scarves! They are both very pretty. I see a little extra something on the scarf thanks to MJ and clicking to make the photo BIG but I am not sure what it is.

  6. Love both of the scarves!!! Beautiful and so YOU! I could not figure out what the hidden thing was in the first pic. I keep looking….please tell! Oh and you know I told you I ordered that sea glass book? Well it was waiting for me when I got home from my weekend. However they sent the wrong book and I got a book on Toilken’s World instead!!! WHAT? Not what I expected when I opened the package so hopefully they can retrieve the sea glass book that got shipped to the wrong person and I can get their book to them!!!! Time will tell!

  7. Is it “Keen?” And I think the scarves worn together could look smashing. They’re both beautiful.

  8. you’re too funny. 🙂

  9. I see sea glass jewelry? And both the scarves are beautiful. You have very thoughtful friends! 🙂

  10. Aw, so pretty – both the scarves & you! Now, what’s the extra something? Could it be the butterfly pins on the scarf? Are they sea glass? Or is it something on the sign (beachy ‘keen’)?

  11. Beautiful scarves!

  12. That’s one way to do it!
And they do remind me of sea glass !

  13. Did you get a sea glass butterfly pin? I read the other comments–a lot of extras in that picture.

  14. Lovely gifts from your friends and from the sea.

  15. Both scarves are very pretty on you and you were thoughtful to bring/wear both! Beautiful friends too. 🙂
