As mentioned in Friday’s post, my friends and I had a girls’ day out on Saturday. And there was a bonus: we had a chauffeur – AND photographer – (Motor Man).
Our first stop was at a consignment shop owned and operated by a schoolmate whom we hadn’t seen in years. Unfortunately, he was out of the shop on Saturday, conducting an estate sale. It’s a beautiful shop, and all four of us made purchases.
My purchase was this set of three adorable tin angels. Once home, I placed them on our mantle, with battery operated votives behind each of them.
The next stop was beautiful historic Hanover Tavern. You may recall that Motor Man and I have been there on two other occasions. Saturday’s visit was the first for our friends. We had a delicious brunch: pumpkin spice French toast for some of us…yum.
It was perfect timing for our trip to the Tavern: Santa was there! And even though we weren’t dressed as festively as this little girl at a nearby table…
…we DID have our picture taken with Santa. I was nominated to sit beside him (when everyone else ran to stand behind him). So as I sat down, I whispered to him: “The one who sits by Santa gets the most presents, right?”. And, of course, he agreed.
It was a fun day spent with friends and a special way to kick off the Christmas season!
