Closure

If you read my blog daily, you will recall my post last Saturday about the capsized sailboat accident on the river near our home. If you happened to miss that post, you can read it here.

For six days, a search went on for the missing boater.   Wednesday, his body was found near a marina on the other side of the river.

During the search, each morning when I opened our curtains and looked out at the river, and each evening when I closed the curtains, I couldn’t help but think of that young man’s family.

I’m sure they’re relieved that the search is over.

  1. A very sad event…A spur of the moment sail took the lives of two very promising young men. My prayers are with their families.

  2. Thanks for letting us know the rest of the story, even though it was sad. A perfect reminder to hug and kiss our loved ones each and every morning, and maybe an extra squeeze today.

  3. Thanks for letting us know.

  4. Thank you for the follow up…lest we forget. Thinking positive thoughts re: your appt. this morning. Good news about the time…earlier so you don’t have to go without eating or drinking as long.

  5. truly, this is what they needed to be able to grieve.

  6. I’m glad they found his body. I can’t imagine being a parent and never knowing. Such a somber sky your photo depicts.

  7. How terrible. but I’m glad the family had closure. I can’t even start to think what would I do because I hope I am never faced with that but I know how important closure is for families.

  8. I can’t imagine the heartache that they must of felt during the days of waiting for him to be found. It’s so sad. My healing thoughts are with them.
