Sunset Sunday

I’ve learned many things about sunrises and sunsets since Motor Man married me and brought me here to live by the water.

As I’ve mentioned before, one thing I’ve learned is how very quickly the sky can change. I’ve been known to RUN across the yard to get a picture, because I know the sky will only look that way for a few seconds.

Another thing I’ve learned is to never give up on the possibility of an amazing sunset. These were taken on June 7.  When I first glanced out, the sky was interesting, but not really spectacular.

But, it wasn’t long before things began to change.

And began to get very interesting….

Hmm…this could become an amazing sunset after all.

Sure am glad I didn’t give up and go back inside without seeing this.

(Today marks my 600th blog post. This may be the last weekend that I post for awhile.  I’m thinking of only posting Monday through Friday, at least temporarily.  If so, there will  probably be a sunrise/sunset post appearing during the week.  But nothing has been decided yet, so stay tuned!)

  1. Wow 600 posts, that is a lot well done :))
I always love your sunrise and sunset shots – the reflection in the water is stunning.

  2. Congratulations on your 600th! That is a lot…I understand the thought of just posting during the week – especially through the summer. I am trying to get everything ready for the time when I am traveling…but because I link to so many memes, I still have to get online to link them! Not sure how I will handle that. Whenever you post something, we will be watching! This was a simply beautiful sky – love the series of changes!

  3. If this is partial retirement, I guess you’ve earned it! Maybe you could do “best of’s” on the weekend, just like Click and Clack 😉

Whichever, we have certainly enjoyed your observations and creativity, and are glad you you have shared “These Days” with us… And will still share them five days a week!

  4. What gorgeous photos….we’re ALL glad you didn’t give up on this sunset – it’s spectacular. Congratulations on 600 posts – quite a landmark! Taking a “weekend break” isn’t such a bad idea….I’ve thought about it myself from time to time. No matter what you decide, we’ll all stick with you that’s for sure…… 😀
