Random Five Willy-Nilly Friday

It’s the end of another week and time for five random thoughts.

1.) Last Saturday, as we came home and drove in our driveway, I noticed a hawk perched in one of the pine trees.  I snapped a quick photo of him on the limb, then this one as he took flight. It was nearing sunset, thus the soft golden hour glow.

2.) Yesterday, I cleaned out two closets. I’m trying not to think about how many more I have to do. How does all that STUFF accumulate?  Oh, and I had some help.  Get ready, thrift shop, here I come!

3.) The colors of the sky during yesterday morning’s sunrise were quite unusual. Soon after I took this picture, the sun disappeared, leaving us with showers for much of the day.

4.) Tuesday evening, I transferred the photos from Motor Man’s flip phone to the computer. I’ll have a blog post next week about that, but this was one of the many photos I discovered. It was taken last April. Gypsy’s apparently very trusting of Marshall.

5.) Learning how to transfer those photos required that I visit our local Verizon store. The manager offered us a sweet deal: a new phone, a new tablet and more data….for less money.  That sounds a little too good to be true; I have a few questions before we agree to that.  PLUS, I’m not looking forward to learning a new phone.

Your randomness?

  4. Lovely picture of the hawk and the sunrise. I don’t even want to think about my closest! I’m very good at turning a blind eye when I open those particular doors!!

  5. You captured the hawk well. Tom The Backroads Traveller

  6. Good on you for transferring photos from the phone to the computer. I have had the little plug in, etc. for two years, but I just can’t get it together to do it. Love the hawk photo. Their wing span is so impressive.

  7. You need to submit that hawk photo to a wildlife magazine! Love it! My randomness is this weather! I left PA with snow in my backyard got to walk on the beach in Kitty Hawk without a jacket and now it’s cold and rainy. Come on Spring!!!

  8. Wonderful photo of the hawk in flight! You’ve gotten a jump on Spring cleaning – mine will have to wait until Spring Break – 1 more week!!!

  9. That hawk pic is one for the ages… a tricky shot that you captured well….
Looks like Sundae was right there to help… & .. are those … flags .. I see in the pile ?? ; )
& I had forgotten about that day with Gypsy .. she’s something else !

  10. Great shot of the hawk! Love the sunset. I don’t trust any phone company! They will want you to sign away your firstborn (sign a contract for a bunch of years!) 🙂 Oooh, I need to do some of that spring cleaning!

  11. I have closets to clean, too. It is amazing how fast they get cluttered. It would help if I stayed away from the thrift shops! ha! Nice shot of the hawk!

  12. cute pic of marshall. lovely sky as always.

  13. Cool shot of the hawk. Gypsy seems to be enjoying that upside down pose.
What a lovely sunset. – I need to clean out closets but I hate the thought of actually doing it.

  14. Hawks are always great to catch a glimpse of. How terrific that you got to photograph yours as well. Nice.

  15. Hawk is a great capture. Sweet picture of Marshall and Gypsy.. Sundae too. I saved the best for last… that sunrise is amazin’! I just love your shots with the marina!

  16. Shirley Matthews Dunn

Great shot of the hawk. I have (slowly) started Spring cleaning. I see Sundae is good little helper!

  17. 🙂 Loves the picture of Marshall! And do you want to come and hell me clean closets?

  18. You are much more adept at getting those great bird pictures (especially in flight) than I am. So, yeah, I am a wee bit pea green…

  19. Nice hawk capture, Dianna! Good thing you caught the sun when you did, and it’s a beautiful morning. I love the expression on Sundae’s face. It looks like she was making sure you didn’t get rid of HER stuff. That Gypsy does love her guys. I hope the phone deal works out for you.

  20. New phones drive me crazy! I don’t use a tenth of my phone’s capability!
